APEX INVISIBLE SECURITY PIGMENTS
APEX is a range of speciality, security and safety pigments. We offer a varied and versatile range of products for applications including security printing, safety marking, novelty products and artists materials. Based on over 20 years’ experience, the APEX team can offer technical advice, formulation guidelines in all relevant application areas, and with complete discretion.
The APEX range comprises the following product groups:
APEX INVISIBLE FLUORESCENT PIGMENTS
APEX Invisible Fluorescent Pigments are white, or off white powders, designed to be transparent or invisible in normal daylight, but to fluoresce brightly when exposed to specific wavelengths of light - usually 365nm or 254nm ultra violet, and in some cases 980nm infrared.
APEX PHOSPHORESCENT PIGMENTS
This range of Glow-In-The-Dark pigments has been designed to offer the widest possible range of afterglow duration and charge up times. All our afterglow pigments are inorganic and crystalline and so should not be ground. They are heat stable and light stable; however care must be taken in formulating these products in waterborne systems.
APEX THERMOCHROMIC PIGMENTS (TH SERIES)
The TH series is a range of thermally active pigments in a range of temperature reactivity bands and colours. TH series pigments are easily dispersed in water, certain solvent based and UV cure systems and plastics processable below 200 °C.
APEX PHOTOCHROMIC PIGMENTS (PT SERIES)
The PT series pigments are colourless until exposed to bright light. Exposure to light causes the development of intense colour. Removal of the light source will cause the colour to gradually disappear. PT series are easily disperse powders, suitable for use in a wide variety of carriers, including water, low polar solvents and UV curing media.
